The tournament takes place at Circolo Golf Venezia from May 20-22, the European Seniors Tour has announced.
The Nokia 9300 Italian Seniors Open will carry record prize money of euros 170,000, an increase of euros 10,000 from the inaugural event in 2004.
Former Formula 1 World Champion Nigel Mansell, who hosts the Nigel Mansell Sunseeker Classic at his own course, Woodbury Park, is among the invitees for the 2005 edition.
The event will be promoted by RCS Pubblicita, publisher of Corriere delle Sera and Gazetta dello Sport, two of Italy's premier daily papers, and Circolo Golf Venezia.
