IAAF QUESTIONS DECISION ON GREEK ATHLETES

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) said it was surprised that Greek sprinters Kostas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou had been cleared of trying to evade doping controls.

It says it is looking forward to receiving full documentation in English about the decision, which will be “carefully considered” by its Doping Review Board.

It will then decide whether to accept or reject the decision, and reserves the right to appeal to the Court of Arbitration in Sport.

The coach of the Greek pair, Christos Tsekos, has been suspended for four years.
