Heinrich Enslin, chief executive officer for the past five years, becomes SuperSport CEO International, and Imtiaz Patel, until now director of enterprises and productions, becomes CEO South Africa.
Enslin said the company would focus on developing its presence in core sub-Saharan countries and pursue opportunities in the use of new media delivery technologies.
The restructuring would enable him to concentrate on the overall strategic direction of the company, Enslin said, adding that Patel would be CEO of by far the largest SuperSport division.
Patel, 41, was a member of the 2010 Soccer World Cup bid committee and involved in launching Pro20 cricket in South Africa.
He was also part of the SANZAR rugby negotiations and was responsible for the acquisition of SuperSport’s financial interest in Western Province and Dolphins cricket.
