TOTAL SPORTS ASIA TO DISTRIBUTE US OPEN

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has announced that Total Sports Asia (TSA), Asia’s leading integrated sports marketing company, will be the exclusive Asian television rights distributor for the US Open.

The four-year agreement also includes that TSA will represent the rights for the US Open’s classic matches.

Beginning with the 2005 US Open, TSA receives exclusive distribution rights to 22 Asian nations including China, India, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and The Philippines.

The agreement was put together by the USTA and its international television representative Clear Channel Entertainment Television.

The US Open is the highest attended annual sporting event in the world. On average, more than 625,000 fans attend each year. The 2004 US Open was the second highest attended US Open in history.

On average, more than 90 million viewers watch the US Open on CBS Sports and USA Network each year. More than 30,000 hours of international television coverage reach 199 countries.
