The London Broncos Rugby League club are said to be experiencing severe financial difficulties, forcing the Rugby Football League (RFL) to step in with a rescue plan.
Discussions between the club and the RFL have taken place to ensure the club can continue as members of the Super League competition.
A meeting of all Super League clubs will take place today (Friday) to discuss the situation.
In a short statement the RFL said “no further comment can be made at this stage”.
