The event sees full strength teams from top table tennis nations – the People's Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, D.P.R.Korea, Hong Kong S.A.R and more than 30 other countries - competing in Mixed Doubles, Men's and Women's Singles and Men's and Women's Doubles competitions.
The event will be held in Cheju Island, Korea from August 27 to September 2, 2005
“The 2003 Asian Championships was distributed by IEC and seen live in eight Asian countries. We have confidence we can expand this distribution in 2005 even further,” said Jonas Persson, chief executive officer of IEC in Sports.
CCTV, China's national broadcaster, has already confirmed they will cover at least 20 hours of the Championships.
