The memo, from a Digital representative based with the team, alleged a poor attitude and bad behaviour by individual West Indians on the recent tour of Australia.
Telecommunications provider Digicel has reaffirmed its commitment to a $20million (£10.6million) deal with the WICB and says it regrets the publication of the memo.
Part of the problem is thought to relate to the clash between players' obligations with the new sponsor, Digicel, and the players' individual endorsements with their rival, Cable and Wireless.
The five-year deal with Digicel is the biggest in West Indies cricket history.
