The club has purchased the entire PTV holding in the joint venture business for £1.35million, of which £0.675million is payable in 12 months' time, reports the club’s official website.
In addition, Nufc.co.uk has paid PTV a severance fee for the terminated management agreement and entered into a new five-year hosting agreement with PTV.
Newcastle United now has full ownership of the business into which it had licensed certain media rights. PTV has a long-term contract for the supply of services that include hosting infrastructure, subscription and video streaming technology.
