He joins CHA from city lawyers, Hammonds, where he was a senior member of its Sports Unit. He was previously with international corporate law firm, Baker & McKenzie, for nine years before joining former leading sports practice, Townleys.
CHA partner, Mark Whitehead, said: “In the past six to nine months we have noticed a significant upsurge in interest and activity in investment and financing projects within the sports sector. We established our Sports Ventures Unit last year in order to take advantage of some of the opportunities which were arising via our relationships with several banks, financiers and investors as well as to service better the needs of our existing clients.
“Recent developments have convinced us that we should strengthen even further our offering in this area. Satish is not only a senior corporate lawyer of undoubted pedigree but has years of experience as a specialist in the sports sector, a fairly unique combination which we are sure will add massive value to our clients and our business.”
Khandke said: “CHA’s business model is unique in the sports sector as is their entrepreneurial approach, strength in depth and understanding of this sector. We have together identified a number of opportunities for growth in the area of corporate ventures in sport and I am looking forward to the challenge immensely.”
