'TOTAL RUGBY' KICKS OFF

The International Rugby Board's new weekly television programme, Total Rugby, will be shown for the first time today (Wednesday).

Sky Sports 3 broadcasts the programme at 10pm. Thereafter it will be shown every Wednesday on a Sky Sports channel at 6.30 pm.

Total Rugby, in association with Sodexho, will also be broadcast around the world, and will be screened every week from February through until the end of November and will contain a mixture of action and features.

The first show will feature highlights from all three opening matches in this year's RBS Six Nations Championship and action from the IRB Sevens in Wellington, New Zealand, played in front of a sellout crowd in the Westpac Stadium.

From across the Tasman Sea, there is coverage of the Tsunami Charity Sevens from Sydney.

Total Rugby is also being shown in countries such as China, India, and North and South America.
