Customers in the UK, France and Switzerland can use the Orange World portal on their mobile phones to access mainstream and specialist sporting competitions including soccer, motorsports, tennis, cycling, rugby, basketball, skiing, bobsleigh, swimming and volleyball.
Customers can either view material from Eurosport’s internet catalogue in its entirety, or personalise their content by bookmarking their favourite sports.
The content will be available in five languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Italian) and will offer extensive coverage of all major international and national events.
Orange plans to extend the deal to a number of its other European subsidiaries throughout 2005.
