London Wasps are tenants at soccer club Wycombe Wanderers’ Causeway stadium, which it regularly fills. Potential sites are sought in West London and the Home Counties for a 20,000 capacity stadium and 30-acre training ground.
It is said the site can be either Greenfield or Brownfield and preferably freehold, although long leasehold will be considered.
Geoff Aucock, partner in charge of DJ Sport, said: “This is a prestigious appointment for Drivers Jonas, finding a new home for the reigning European Champions, and we look forward to hearing from anyone who might have a suitable site.
“The growth of club rugby since the victorious World Cup win in 2002 sees London Wasps regularly fill their stadium with huge demand for more tickets. It makes commercial sense to have a new stadium that can meet this demand.”
