The new-look 50-minute show will go out every Sunday at 12.30pm and the first show will kick-off with highlights from The Carnegie World Club Challenge which sees Super League Nine Champions, Leeds Rhinos, take on Canterbury Bulldogs at Elland Road.
The series will be on air until October 16 and will follow each round of Super League through to the Grand Final. The show is produced by Wild Rover Productions for the BBC and will be broadcast live from the new Broadcasting Centre at BBC Leeds.
The BBC has also made a commitment to cover rugby league in more ways across more stations for the new season, both on radio and television.
For the first time North West Tonight will show highlights from the weekend’s biggest games in a regular slot during Monday night's sports bulletin, giving fans another chance to see all the action.
