“The United Kingdom has Europe’s strongest economy, which is a significant advantage in terms of providing security to the Olympic Family about London’s resources to deliver an event as big as the Olympic Games,” said the Hon. Sandra Nori, NSW Minister for Sport and Tourism.
Britain’s passion for sport would be a major advantage for hosting the Games in London and the UK, according to the Sydney Sports Minister, who has been speaking to London firms about realising the business benefits from staging the Olympic Games.
“The British love of sport will ensure that all London’s Olympic venues in 2012 will be full and could even set a new record for Olympic tickets sales, a record which I am proud to say we still hold in Sydney.”
Ms Nori played a key role in helping Sydney and NSW firms obtain significant business benefits from the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
