The partnership includes a television broadcast sponsorship package and use of Ricoh's information-based know-how to enhance and promote ATP's statistical analysis service.
Under the three-year agreement, Ricoh will become the ‘Official Office Solutions Provider of the ATP’ and will receive exposure in all ATP communication platforms, including the ATP statistical charts which will be branded the 'Ricoh ATP MatchFacts' and will provide a deeper statistical analysis for fans.
Peter Van der Kaag, general manager, corporate communications, Ricoh Europe B.V., said: "In looking for a major new sponsorship programme to boost our brand awareness and drive sales, we liked the ATP's appeal to our target demographics, its pan-regional popularity and the fact that tennis is a clean and environmentally friendly sport, one of our company's key considerations."
Ricoh's partnership with the ATP follows those signed in 2004, including that with the INDESIT Company, sponsor of the INDESIT ATP Race.
A roster of partners is led by Mercedes-Benz and other brands including Lotto Sport Italia, Club Med, Waterford Crystal, Penn, Luxilon and Skies America Publishing.
