The deal is said to combine the strengths of both sites, producing the best online motorsport subscription service in the world.
As part of the agreement, the new service will be led by Atlas F1 editor-in-chief Biranit Goren, published under the Autosport.com umbrella, and produced by the Atlas F1 and Autosport.com teams working together.
Autosport.com was launched in 1996 and became a subscription site last June, providing news coverage, exclusive features, interviews and profiles from many of the world’s top racing and rallying series.
Atlas F1, ‘the Journal of Formula One Motorsport,’ was launched in February 1995 by entrepreneur Paul Kaizar and is now the longest-running F1 website on the Internet.
Atlas F1 subscribers have access to FORIX (Formula One Result & Information Explorer), an extensive database of historic Formula One statistics and data, and this will now also be made available to subscribers of Autosport.com.
Formula One enjoys a massive worldwide following, each race attracting more than 300 million TV viewers.
