ICC BOUND FOR DUBAI

The International Cricket Council has voted to move its headquarters from Lord's to Dubai.

According to reports in The Daily Telegraph newspaper, the ICC voted 11-1 in favour of the move from what has been its home since 1909.

The newspaper reports that final negotiations with Dubai are ongoing since the vote three weeks ago, despite offers from Kuala Lumper and Singapore.

The move is said to follow the UK Government's failure to grant tax concessions wanted by the ICC and offered by Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore.
