SOX IN LOTTERY TROPHY TOUR

The Boston Red Sox have signed a partnership with the Massachusetts Lottery for a World Series Trophy Tour.

The lottery will spend $225,000 to sponsor the tour that will see the famous World Series trophy visit communities throughout the state.

The Red Sox have received requests from 66 different cities and towns in Massachusetts for a stop, and anticipate many more.

The lottery will work with the team on the sites, security and logistics of the tour.

When the Red Sox last won the World Series, in 1918, there was no trophy.
