SEAT TREAT FOR NFL FANS

Tagged in

The NFL is trying out new throne-like seats for fans to enjoy while watching from the sidelines.

The leather seats, which are heated, elevated on platforms with plasma TVs and just nine yards from the playing field, will be available at games on Sunday and Monday, reports USATODAY.com

Says Miami Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene: "We'll see how it goes. But the league is looking at it on a much larger scale."

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy says the league is just doing a "feasibility study" this season, with the seats set up at one Minnesota Vikings game last month as well as at Patriots home games this season.

Jonathan Kraft, vice chairman of the Patriots, says the Patriots could have 40 to 44 sideline seats next season with users possibly allowed "to walk on the field the same way players do" and maybe have their own waiter.
