2012 BID NEWS: PARIS APPOINTS TRANSPORT EXPERTS

Tagged in , &

Paris 2012 has appointed two senior international transport consultants who will work on the bid’s Strategic Transport Plan.

The two experts, Stephen McIntyre from Australia, and Panos Protopsaltis from Greece, worked on the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympics, respectively.

McIntyre was director of strategic planning for the Olympic Roads and Transport Authority (ORTA) for the Sydney Games. He served in that position for three and a half years.

Protopsaltis served as general manager of Transport for the Athens Olympic Committee for five years.

McIntyre and Protopsaltis will help the French public authorities, Paris 2012 and its transport partners to review and improve the proposed Strategic Transport Plan.
