CARLSBERG RE-APPOINTS KETCHUM

Carlsberg International has re-appointed London-based Ketchum Sports Network to handle the PR and exploitation of Carlsberg’s sponsorship of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

Carlsberg will be the Official Sponsor and Official Beer of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, which take place from January 28 to February 13, 2005 in Bormio, Italy.

Ketchum Sports Network will be responsible for the delivery of European media partnerships and coverage and the creation of the Carlsberg ‘Pro Clinic’. This will see the Carlsberg ski endorsees used to provide a daily media insight into the stories and performers at the championships.

The list of endorsees includes legends Alberto Tomba, Luc Alphand, Stephan Eberharter and Pirmin Zubriggen.

Carlsberg’s ski rights also include the Carlsberg Pro-Am event, which immediately follows the main races in Bormio, and the sixth annual Carlsberg High Five, which offers skiers and snowboarders of all abilities the chance to pit themselves against the biggest names in skiing and snowboarding.

Ketchum’s role also extends to the implementation of the PR and exploitation programmes around these two additional events.
