The Black Cats will team up with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and several other Premier League clubs who have all linked up with Orange as Official Mobile Communications Partners.
As part of the three-year partnership Sunderland fans will be able to access all the latest news, views, interviews, images and video clips on the move.
Fans can also hear live match commentary, use interactive text messaging and voting and receive alerts on match tickets and travel arrangements
In addition, Orange have agreed a marketing programme to communicate the proposition to the fans, including advertising, perimeter boards, leafleting, club mailings and on-line banner adverts on the club website.
