Simon Rowell has been appointed assistant race director for the Clipper 05-06 Round the World Yacht Race, setting sail from Liverpool in September 2005.
Rowell, 38, from Cowes, Isle of Wight, joins Clipper Ventures plc, the AIM-quoted marine events company, from Sailing Logic, one of the South Coast’s leading sailing consultancies, where he was chief instructor.
Rowell’s brief will be to assist with the operational management of the race on a day-to-day basis, and to work with race director Tim Hedges.
