GLOBAL SPORTNET RETAINS SUPERSET

Global Sportnet, the sports marketing company of the WPP Group, has been reappointed by Superset Tennis Limited to market the worldwide television and sponsorship rights to the 2005 series.

Superset Tennis pits eight of the world’s best players against each other in a head-to-head winner-takes-all format. The compact tournament is played in one day, on one court, with only one set per match.

Mark Edlund, MD of Superset Tennis Ltd, said: “The Superset Tennis event on October 3 at London’s Wembley Arena was a huge success. It sold out attracting over 14,000 spectators and the television signal was distributed to some 102 countries.”

The Superset Tennis 2005 Series will feature events in London, Dallas and New York.
