As part of Premium TV’s network of 83 official football club websites the new Birmingham online store hopes to capitalise on the pre-Christmas boom in sales, which last year generated almost £1million for Premium TV-managed clubs.
This year Premium TV’s 34 club shops are expected to generate in excess of £2million in sales this Christmas.
Research by Premium TV shows that online shops can boost merchandise sales by up to 100 per cent, and increase average spend from £40 in-store to £70 online.
Research also suggests overseas sales are the fastest growing sales area for soccer merchandise among PTV sites.
