Richard Thompson has stepped down from his post as Surrey’s chairman of cricket after three seasons.
Thompson was finding it difficult to find the time required to perform the role, being chairman of the entertainment and sports management company Merlin Elite.
Micky Stewart has agreed to take over from Thompson with immediate effect on a short-term basis.
