MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), the interactive media and internet arm of the league, said it recorded record single day traffic and page views to the site on Wednesday, October 20.
Amid the excitement of the play-offs, more than 8m fans visited the site which registered its first ever 90m page view day - up around 200 percent from the same time last year.
Major League Baseball has this week recorded the biggest single day traffic to its official site, MLB.com.
