SHOW JUMPING GEM

GEM Group, the sports marketing and entertainment agency, has been appointed by the British Show Jumping Association (BSJA) to handle its PR, marketing and sponsorship strategy.

GEM’s PR role will involve working alongside BSJA’s internal press and marketing officer, Jacky Knightley, and conducting a sponsorship audit and developing a strategy for attracting new sponsors.

Commenting on the appointment, GEM account director, Grace Noest, said: “We are delighted to be working with the BSJA. Show Jumping has not received as much media exposure in recent years but it has a proven track record in this country of staging outstanding events capable of attracting very large television audiences.

“The sport is doing extremely well on the continent and there is absolutely no reason why this success can’t be replicated in the UK.”

The BSJA is the governing body of show jumping in Great Britain and responsible for administering all aspects of the sport at all levels and age groups.
