TURKS STILL EYEING FULHAM

Tagged in

Turkish investors looking to take over Premier League soccer club Fulham have insisted their bid is still under discussion.

Halil Falyali - one of the millionaire Falyali brothers who are leading the consortium - said they are discussing the purchase of the club, reports The Daily Telegraph.

A spokesman for the brothers said negotiations were ongoing following an £85million offer.

Chairman Mohamed Fayed is said to be angry that news of the talks had been leaked and a spokesman denied that the club had been put up for sale.

Fayed has invested more than £100million in the club since taking control in May 1997.
