Premier League Newcastle released preliminary results showing a fall in operating profits from £11.6million to £8.3million for the year ending July 31.
A failure to qualify for the Champions League set them back £6.2million in turnover and £8million in television revenue.
It meant turnover dropped to £90.2million while television income slipped to £33.7million.
