Sir Bill Morris has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of the ECB’s management board.
It follows some high profile departures from the England and Wales Cricke Board this year, with Tim Lamb, the outgoing chief executive, the most prominent.
Morris spent most of his career as a trade unionist and retired last year after 12 years as leader of the Transport and General workers’ union.
He was knighted last November.
