The announcement follows a partnership agreement with Servecast, the Irish-based company that manages on-line entertainment media delivery services for a range of sporting organisations, including many Premier League soccer clubs and the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Said Simon Bazalgette, executive chairman of Racing UK: "We are explicit in our aim to be the best broadcaster of quality British and International racing, and extending our methods of delivery helps to make our product available to more viewers via PCs and laptops at times when they can't be near a television.
"The number of broadband connections in the UK and Ireland has grown by more than 50 per cent in the last six months alone, and this new market combines with 1.7 million homes that have been added to our potential audience reach through our recent agreement with cable operator Telewest."
Initially, the service will provide a streaming feed of all the races from all Racing UK courses, and it is intended that other features, such as video form and recordings of races will be phased in at a later date.
The service will be available through Racing UK’s website, www.racinguk.tv
