USTA chairman of the board and president Alan G. Schwartz will serve on the 2005-2006 board of directors as immediate past president.
Franklin R. Johnson has been nominated chairman of the board and president, USTA. Johnson is currently serving a two-year term as first vice president and has been a member of the USTA board of directors since 1997.
Jane G. Brown, of Chadds Ford, PA., and the USTA Middle States Section, secretary-treasurer on the Board, is nominated as first vice president.
Lucy S. Garvin of Greenville, S.C., and the USTA Southern Section is re-nominated to her current position as vice president.
Gordon A. Smith of Atlanta, GA and the USTA Southern Section, currently a director at large on the USTA board of directors, has been nominated for his first term as vice president.
James S. Chaffin of Dallas, TX, and the USTA Texas Section is nominated to succeed Ms. Brown as secretary-treasurer.

The new officers and members of the board are scheduled to take office January 1, 2005, following a review by the USTA’s 17 sections and the elite athletes.
