Sotiris Kostakis, OPAP’s managing director, said: “Sponsoring projects for the benefit of the public is one of our company’s principal aims. Given that we consider this one of our obvious duties, the board of OPAP decided to grant the Paralympic Games the sum of B1 million, by which our company wishes to contribute to this project which will be, without a doubt, a superbly organised event.”
Ioannis Spanudakis, the ATHENS 2004 managing director, said: “OPAP‘s contribution to the development of Greek sports is familiar to everyone and widely recognised. By this sponsorship, the Board of Directors reaffirm their social awareness, and, at the same time, support our aim, which is to organise great Games.”
