CHINESE SPORTS MARKET SEMINAR

The half-day ‘China Sports Business Seminar’ offers a chance to find out more about arguably the largest sports market in the world.

It takes place at the Royal United Services Institute in London on Thursday, October 7 from 9am.

Among those contributing are KHP Consulting - marketing advisers to the Shanghai International Circuit (SIC), host to the first ever China Formula 1 Grand Prix. SIC hold a seven-year contract to host the Formula 1 Grand Prix in China to 2010.

Also present is Football Marketing and Management International (FMMI) – Beijing representative, Richard Li, will focus on opportunities in Chinese football, outlining the new China Super League with a special focus on CSL leaders Shenzhen Jianlibao and the successful club partnership between them and Rangers FC (managed by FMMI).

Clipper Ventures will be responding to the increased demand for sailing expertise and events in China, arising from Qingdao 2008 Olympic sailing events.

Stockport County Football Club has been operating in the Chinese market for four years. Stockport is the first English football club to have set up a joint venture with a Chinese partner, Shenyang-based Stockport Tiger Star football club.
