GAMBLING INDUSTRY CONFERENCE

The multi-million pound UK Gambling and Gaming industry is set for new legislation later this year, but how much impact will it have and who will be most affected?

The Draft Gambling Bill looks set to be passed later this year, after 12 months of consultation between the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, the industry and a cross-party Scrutiny Committee of MPs and peers.

Issues of industry expansion and overseas investment, as well as the protection of minors and the prevention of problem gambling will be debated at a conference in London in October.

InterGame Conferences will be staging The Great British Gambling Debate on Tuesday, October 19 at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith, London.

The event will bring government and industry chiefs together to discuss the future of the British Gambling market and assess the risks and rewards of new legislation.

This will also be the first chance for the industry to assess the most recent findings of the Scrutiny Committee Report, published in late September. Delegates will get a chance to question the speakers directly and will also receive a study containing the latest information on the British Gambling Market.
