The club had been unable to honour its first game of the season against Bedford in National Division One last weekend, as negotiations with the RFU continued.
The Times newspaper reports that a consortium, led by Allan McHale, a former scrum half, has been attempting to convince the RFU that the club can remain viable for at least three years.
Last month the club was plunged into liquidation when former directors withdrew their backing, revealing debts of around £1 million.
Funds totaling £22,000 from supporters and £250,000 from the local council, have helped the rescue package.
