GRAY LANDS SPORTSBRAND ROLE

Malcolm Gray, former president of the International Cricket Council (ICC), has been appointed non-executive chairman of Sportsbrand Media Group, the international sports media company.

Mr Gray, a Melbourne estate agent and company director, has previously served as deputy chairman for the Bank of Melbourne and chairman for the board of Cricket Australia.

Jeff Chapman, chairman of the Bennelong Group, which owns Sportsbrand, said: "Malcolm's past experience, expertise and high level of respect within the industry makes him the ideal candidate for the position."

Anil Nair, Sportsbrand's chief executive officer, said: "We are extremely pleased to announce Malcolm's addition to the board. Sportsbrand, which has a very strong position in international cricket, is entering an exciting time of growth and Malcolm's appointment represents another important step forward for our company."

Gray will take up the position immediately.
