English Premier League side Everton are to begin the process of putting 40 per cent of the club in the hands of a Russian multi-millionaire.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the investment will be overseen by Anton Zingarevich, son of the pulp and paper tycoon, Boris.

The contact with the family is said to have come via a football agent, given the task by chairman Bill Kenwright to search investors in Russia and America.

Zingarevich is understood to be worth £362 million.
