Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reported to be boycotting the BBC in protest at a documentary about links between the Manchester United manager and his son Jason, a football agent.
The Guardian newspaper says Ferguson will, however, continue to speak to Sky Sports, the other UK channel covering The FA Premier League.
The BBC has only just regained FAPL rights in a £105 million deal. Its Match of the Day show returned on Saturday, covering Premier League highlights for the first time in three years.
“It is regrettable that Sir Alex has chosen not to speak to the BBC. We do hope he will reconsider,” said a BBC Sport spokeswoman.
