Reports from US news services claimed that investment firms were bidding for the company, which had previously announced it was looking for financing partners to expand its business operations.
But Bill Sinrich, CEO of TWI, the television arm of IMG, and one of the three senior management personnel on IMG’s executive board along Bob Kain and Alastair Johnston, told SportBusiness: “Nothing has changed and the situation is exactly the same as it was and exactly the same as reported recently.
“We are going through a carefully controlled process in which entities are being invited to meet with the company for the purpose of exploring a minority investment in the company.”
The company is believed to have already begun talks with possible investors.
