Speaking ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Schumacher said he believed the idea would work and emulate the atmosphere created in Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix.
Said the current championship leader: “It would be great to have a race in London.
"The atmosphere in London is good.”
Thousands of fans lined Regent Street in the centre of London earlier this week for a special display by some of the cars competing in Sunday’s race.
Hopes of staging a Formula One race on the streets of London has won support from champion driver Michael Schumacher.
