It draped Paris City Hall in the colours of the bid to mark the one-year countdown to the IOC making a decision over a host city for the Games.
Said Philippe Baudillon, CEO of Paris 2012: “What better way to demonstrate to the world our bid slogan, ‘L’Amour des Jeux’ than to proudly hang it on our City Hall?
“We chose this slogan to reflect the synergy of needs and aspirations that Paris wants to develop with the Olympic family. Paris and France have a deep and historic love of the Olympic Games. The slogan encompasses the French passion for hosting the Games in 2012.”
Meanwhile, the Paris 2012 team of technical, transport, security and environmental experts is concentrating its efforts in preparing its candidature file for delivery to the IOC on November 15.
Paris is battling New York, London, Madrid and Moscow for the right to host the event.
