Selig has always maintained he hopes the Expos will be under new ownership later this summer. He has said previously he hoped a decision over future ownership of the franchise would be made by July.
The latest bid comes from a consortium from Puerto Rico.
The Expos, owned by the league, has also attracted attention from frontrunners for the franchise – Washington DC and Northern Virginia.
A proposal to buy the Montreal Expos Major League Baseball team has been submitted to commissioner Bud Selig.
