Octagon exec joins Paris team

Ho Kim, president of Octagon Korea, has joined the team behind the Paris 2012 Olympic Games bid.

The sports marketing specialist has joined the bid team’s international department as it looks to build on its position as favourite to host the Games.

President of Octagon Korea since 2000, prior to that he was the executive vice-president of Lang & Associates, a US-based sponsorship marketing agency, where he was responsible for developing sponsorship strategies and implementing marketing programs for major Korean clients such as Samsung, Hyundai and Coca-Cola.

Ho Kim is also a long-standing member of the Olympic family having served previously as the executive director of the International Bowling Federation, as marketing and PR director of the World Taekwondo Federation and as a Games Coordinator for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
