PTV goes mobile for England

Premium TV has launched a range of England-branded mobile services ahead of this month’s Euro 2004 tournament.

The broadband sports publisher – best known for its operation of numerous Premiership and Football League club websites – says ‘England Mobile’ will offer its 1.5m subscriber base themed ringtones, wallpapers and other graphics.
It has also launched a bespoke England Euro 2004 SMS service, bringing fans the latest news from the England camp.
The service is being promoted online across Premium TV’s network of 76 official club websites with themed buttons, banners and promotional emails, which start on Friday and run for the duration of the tournament.
Said Oliver Slipper, commercial director of Premium TV: “The idea is to leverage the fervour and patriotism that will surround Euro 2004 and give fans the chance to get behind England through their mobiles.”
