WWE sells out

The power of the WWE to shift merchandise was highlighted once again when its Tour of Defiance broke merchandising records in three back-to-back venues.

The three-city tour of Dublin, Manchester and Birmingham smashed each arena’s previous best sales and grossed over $772,000 in total merchandise sales. The WWE already held the record in both Birmingham and Manchester.

A total of 43,595 paying fans watched the sell-out three-city tour, which brought WWE’s brand of sports entertainment to the Point in Dublin for two consecutive nights, the Manchester Evening News Arena, and finally, the Birmingham NEC.
