Anastasia Myskina’s straight-sets win over her Russian compatriot Elena Dementieva in the French Open final proved a disappointment in the US TV ratings.
According to the overnight figures, the match pulled in 23 percent less than last year’s all-Belgian final between Justine Henin-Hardenne and Kim Clijsters. That match saw a 2.3 rating 7 share.
This weekend’s game saw a 1.7 rating and 5 share for broadcasters NBC.
