The former president of South Africa’s United Cricket Board, Krish Mackerdhui, has died. He was 64.

Mackerdhuj, who served as president from 1992-1998, and was the first non-white to hold the position, died after suffering a heart attack in Durban.
He was also a key figure in securing South Africa’s status as host to last year’s Cricket World Cup.
