IOC president Jacques Rogge has predicted the Athens Olympic Games will be the ‘best ever’, despite preparations being dogged by delays.
During a visit to Cyprus, Rogge said he was confident local organisers in Greece would put on the greatest show ever seen – and said everything possible to ensure the safety of those involved was being done.
Said Rogge: “I have no doubt they will be the best Games ever.
“When it comes to security, you can never be 100 percent certain, but everything possible is being done.''
